Keith’s Crew bursary project

Angebot von der Sail Training International:

Many of you will remember our late friend and colleague, Keith Robinson, who sadly passed away just over a year ago. Keith was a great supporter of Sail Training for young people and particularly of The Tall Ships Races. His contribution has continued in the form of a one off bursary project for disadvantaged young people that will take place this summer. Donations made at his memorial service have been gifted to STI by his family and the Trustees have matched this funding.

As a result of this we are pleased to announce ‘Keith’s Crew’, a project for up to 16 disadvantaged young people to take part in The Tall Ships Races 2019.

We are looking for NSTOs to put forward applicants. The funding will only be available to disadvantaged young people between the ages of 15 and 25 and each successful country will be required to put forward 3 trainees. The voyage will take place on board GULDEN LEEUW for Race 1 from Aalborg to Fredrikstad. You can find more information on the voyage at

www.windseeker.org/journey/gulden-leeuw-aalborg-dk-fredrikstad-no-as09388/?more=j

Bursaries up to 100% of the voyage cost of €795 are available. There will be three extra mentors on board guiding the group.

A copy of the application form is attached and must be received by 31 March.
